DescriptionThis is the last (and best!) of 3 postings today from Ramon Perez’s work from ASM: Learning to Crawl. I picked up each of these for a specific reason related to OG Spider-Man, and the reason here is the sweet splashy depiction of a Ditko influenced Spidey. It’s clear Ditko’s ASM run was the look/feel Perez was channeling in the series and this image, particularly…from the pose to the lenses to the chest Spider and webbing. A great homage-y image IMO. Who knows…I may yet pick up a Ditko Spidey page one day…one can hope…but this will tide me over just fine for now.I haven’t posted in a few months as I’ve been pretty busy…my wife and I had our first kid, a boy, in mid March. It’s been awesome…tiring…but awesome! I finally watched Cap Civil War a couple of weeks back – I’m used to being at these movies the first weekend but couldn’t swing it with the new little guy. We finally ended up taking him and it worked out fine. Had some earmuffs, fed him, and he was good – thanks, son! Seeing Spider-Man in the MCU made me want to post some Spidey pieces so I’m just getting around to it. Thanks, all, for looking and thanks, Jason at Essential Sequential, for hooking up the pages! You are really posting some terrific Spidey pages today, congrats K! I thoroughly enjoyed reading the Learning To Crawl story, and this is a fantastic splash page by Perez.

This is one fantastic splash. Love how Spidey is hangin on the wall as only he can.

That’s what I liked most about this one, Riz, paired with the clear Ditko influence! Thanks for the comments, all!
