Description

This is the original cover painting created by Romas for Ann Chamberlin's novel, "The Merlin of St. Gilles' Well" (The Joan of Arc Tapestries) published by Tor Books in hardcover, 2000 . This stunning historical fantasy is based on actual events and the cover art perfectly captures that epic romantic aspect, mixed with the reality of her life and times. This is one of the largest of Romas's illustrations, a very handsome work painted in acrylics on illustration board mounted on foam core, 23" x 33.5", and signed.
