There were four couples, boyfriends and partners, who were at different stages of their love, some fairly new love, some having been in love for years, who died together that night.

I thought I had posted all the pages that I had bought from Mike Perkins and Marjorie Liu’s Northstar-Kyle wedding. I forgot to post this last one. This page right before the actually wedding splash page. I have accustomed to getting the moments or pages before the big moments, simply because of the competition for pages out there (which is a happy thing overall that people are fighting over these pages).

I dedicate this page, this declaration of love by these two characters to those couples that lost their lives together on that terrible night in Orlando.

I love Kyle’s dad when he say’s there’s a lot of weird out there but Kyle totally embraces it and he knows that Northstar can run and fly and do so many amazing feats but he accepts them all as Northstar accepts Kyle for all his human-ness, no powers, just love.

I am angry when I think about how these four couples won’t be making new memories, won’t be marrying, won’t be loving.

Thanks to Marjorie Liu and Mike Perkins for an issue of so many beautiful moments and heartfelt dialogue that humanize our gay experience.

The first post was about coming out and making that statement of individuality. Post two is about sharing that with someone who loves you unconditionally.
