DescriptionThis is a piece which was, I think, used in a UK convention booklet. I was a big Bachalo fan and so decided to bid for it in in the auction. The price kept going up and up and when I began to hesitate John McCrea, who was sitting next to me, urged me to keep going. I looked over my shoulder a couple of times to suss out who I was bidding against and finally realised it was actually John who had his arm on the back of my chair and was signalling the auctioneer from behind my head. John chipped in a few quid later so no hard feelings.I absolutely love the Vertigo stuff from this period. Chris later said it was inspired by the saying "A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bycycle". Social/Sharing |

This has got to be my favorite Shade sketch I've ever seen! Congrats! Great story behind it too.
