naturally, a nice piece. but for me, this is really something cool!
I first set foot in NYC (coincidentally) on Jack Kirby's birthday in 2003.
I made a number of return visits before setting foot out of NYC.
Because a friend of mine was living in Kerhonksen taking care of her mother,
as we took care of her cat, Sabretooth Sadie.
It was a revelation how beautiful upstate was, and after a few more visits I discovered
it had been home to Herb Trimpe. That really knocked me out.
Trimpe's Hulk was the best thing about Marvel for quite a while.
To think he did that kind of work in a sweet, small town made the times there even more precious. People should recall his efforts after 9-11-01 and know that he was made of very
special stuff.
Happy to have met him at a Big Apple con and heard his feelings expressed so humanly.
Happy as well to procure this curio.
RIP Mr Trimpe.
