DescriptionNormally when I do these imaginary covers I'll go and work up a plot. Not thing time :) I just love Mitch's art. You throw in that classic late 70's / early 80's Justice League line up and the underused greatness of Pulsar Stargrave? You're starting at the Glorious level. Loved Pulsar Stargrave ever since I first saw Keith Pollard's gorgeous pin up of him in Who's Who. The idea of someone that powerful taking on the Justice League makes perfect sense. Building on Perez's classic JLA run and adding a final little coda to a great era.I specifically asked Mitch not to hurt himself with this one and not go too far with the Manhunters. Mitch being Mitch he went all in. It certainly looks great, though, to see the League so totally surrounded like that. Also, with Batman being maybe his favorite hero I wanted to make sure there was at least one cover with Bats center stage. Chris, as always, proves lettering is an art form all in itself. Nothing about this isn't an A++. And on top of all that we we get to see in glorious color! Rob contacted me and asked if he could work his magic on these and I had no choice but to say yes ;) You can see the results. Went and proved yet again that he's the king of classic colors. That's a whole lotta Manhunters and it looks like Pulsar Stargrave is the villain of the week in two CAF galleries. Beautiful work by Mitch as usual.
