Description

Joe Alves was the Production Designer for Jaws and Jaws 2. He was the Director for Jaws 3-D.

I've heard that some storyboards can be as simple as stick figures. Joe informed me that it's very important for the storyboard artist to give as much information as possible so everyone knows what's going to be necessary for the shot. Maybe it's stunts, special effects, props, a fake shark, etc.

Joe had a number of these items with reproductions of his storyboards. I picked the one with the sketch that I liked the most.

Jaws was written by Peter Benchley.
