Description

Sometimes there are second chances in the comic art hobby.

Going back a decade or so, artist Geof Isherwood (Conan, Dr. Strange) regularly listed artwork and sketches for sale on eBay. When this drawing of the Thing was put up for auction, I really wanted to own it and I really wanted to have Bob McLeod finish it up with inks and washes - as he was doing for other pieces in my collection at the time. Alas, I didn't win the auction. Adding to the sting, the person who did win the auction (coincidentally) commissioned Bob McLeod to add inks and washes to the drawing... and the final product looked as great as I'd imagined it would.

Jump ahead several years later and guess what magically re-appeared on eBay?!? Needless to say, I didn't let it slip through my fingers a second time!!

Congrats on getting a work you should have always owned.

Bob is an incredible inker and his wash work is incredible.
