Robocop doing the Roger Rabbit dance (2011)

In December of 2010, The Criterion Collection had a holiday promotion for customers who bought $100 worth of merchandise directly from the Criterion website. Shoppers would receive a free sketch from Jason Polan, an illustrator living in New York City well-known to Criterion cineastes for his "wacky doodles" that were clues for forthcoming Criterion titles. Since Polan's wacky doodles often literalizes movie titles, I thought having Robocop doing the Roger Rabbit dance might be an interesting mash-up of movie dance moves irony. I don't think Mr. Polan knows what the "Roger Rabbit" looks like, but I appreciate the effort. This is an early sketch before I really became an original art collector.
