Description

One of my favorite things is going through the "art ghetto". You know that large, nebulous area at the con where budding artists set up. Although a lot of the denizens of the ghetto need more development or probably should search for other vocations, I do often find young artists who I think are doing interesting work and I like to support them. Dave Prentice is one such artist. I liked the pieces he had pre-done for the show and picked one monster. He seemed to have an affinity towards monsters and I thought it would be cool to see what he did with two of my favorite vintage Dungeons and Dragons monsters from the old school Monsters Manuel. Mind Flayer and Eye of the Beholder. Hot damn...Dave did a good job on both of these.
