Description

Original art for the April 3, 1961 (4/3/61) daily newspaper comic strip of Mickey Mouse and His Friends, by Walt Disney Productions and distributed by King Features Syndicate. It is a great large piece, which measures approximately 6 1/2" by 21", and is standard high-quality art board paper. It features a great hilarious episode starring Mickey and Goofy, and a cuckoo clock! It is in very good condition, particularly considering the age of the piece (more than 55 years old!), with some discoloration from the zipatone shading film which was applied. Also, there are some scratch lines (possibly from cutting the zipatone), and some waviness to the board from previous framing, as it does not lay perfectly flat. This is an outstanding rare vintage piece of Disneyana magic. A magnificent example from the Golden Age of Disney featuring their icon and main character of their most famous films.
