Description

Drew is a great guy that I ended up meeting due to my friendship with fellow collector Hart. I've been lucky enough to see Drew over the course of several conventions and watch as he works his magic with a ballpoint pen. I had been pitching him on x-characters and he ended up wanting to draw Polaris as a companion piece to a Scarlet Witch he drew for me in the past. (around Avengers 2's movie release).

Honestly, this one knocked me out. Drew is a wizard with a pen. Beautiful crosshatch shading, outfit is on point and that luscious green hair! I'm very glad Drew happened to have green markers with him because the piece simply pops with that splash of color. Also the very trendy accessories (and no coffee cup~) are very cool. One thing Drew does that I love is he uses a compass to draw that perfect circle. Something about a simple shape to frame a piece is very aesthetically pleasing to me, not to mention a nice nod to Polaris' powers. Drew completed the piece astoundingly quick, concept to completion in 1-2 hours or something like that. One of my favorite pieces in my Hipster collection for sure!
