DescriptionI decided it was time for a new theme sketchbook & it seemed obvious that I should start one featuring my favorite super hero. The choice of artist to start it was obvious as well. I loved Mike Grell's work on Green Lantern/Green Arrow & he has been a friend for over 20 years. He did a great job of course. This is a double page spread on 2 sheets of 11x17 inch sketchbook paper. This is great, was it done recently?Mike drew this Saturday & Sunday October 22nd-23rd 2016. He texted me Sunday afternoon & said I had better come pick it up because he had several offers for it, but was holding out for $6.

Wow, that's really fantastic. A wonderful "old school" vibe, which I love.

That's amazing! I finnaly got a chance to meet Mike in Baltimore and he could not have been nicer. Signed a GL page with Terry Austin inks for me at let me take a pic with him. it was the highlight of my trip. I came back and re-read all his GL issues.

Mike is a genuinly nice guy. I know the first time I met him I was so happy that he was such a cool guy to hang out with since he had been one of my favorite artists for so long. It's always great when the creator's personality is as good as their art!

I'm a firm believer in starting with something cool that puts pressure on the people who have to follow it!
