Description

Classic team up with Spider-Man and the Human Torch in the 1973 Gerry Conway story "Time Bomb!" Love the trippy 2nd panel, and you can see Mooney's blue pencil lines all over the original page. And because the blue was invisible to the engraving cameras of the period, there was no need for erasure -- so Mooney's elaborate conception of the Human Torch's flaming contours remain visible under Giacoia's simplified inking.

Two inkers I associated with the spidey artists...but together here on this page. Mooney and Giacoia make a good team. Love that 2nd panel with all the spidey heads.
