Description

Geoff Johns was one of the first writers to really make me take notice of his name when I really got into comics in my 20's. Since that time he's easily become my all-time favorite writer, and my favorite run from him was his work on JSA. Late into his run he began to really dive into the character Black Adam and made him the centerpiece of a crossover event called "Black Reign". Hearing that they were going to make a Black Adam movie staring The Rock, I went back a reread the entire run and fell in love with it all over again. I was thrilled to see the piece for sale when I began searching for art from this series. In a modern world of digital lettering, there's only so many splash pages with John's name on it, and I'm glad to own one of them. Look for this storyline to factor in some way when The Rock brings Black Adam to life on the big screen.

I agree that miss the old lettering as well. It makes the art better in my opinion. It also doesn't get much better than Don Kramer anyway
