Description
This was a gift from Vin. It's an unpublished page from The Authority that he never sent off to the inker. There was a number of editorial oversight issues going on with the book...I believe DC (who had recently acquired Wildstorm) were pulling in the reigns on The Authority post 9/11. This caused numerous issues with the creative team and thus Mark Millar and Frank Quitely both jumped ship to Marvel, one launching The Ultimates, the other New X-men.

Vin had mentioned this page specifically when I met him at NYCC (2014?) after I had explained how The Authority got me interested in comics and specifically drawing comics. He laughed and told me about an unpublished page with Midnighter and Apollo laying in bed with Apollo's thong on the floor. When I met him at his studio last year he had this page pulled to the side and gifted it to me. I was glad that i hadn't shown up empty handed myself...I knew his childhood art hero was Scottish cartoonist Dudley D. Watkins ...and so tracked down a page for him as a surprise.

Here's an article talking about the edits on the later parts of The Authority. http://sequart.org/magazine/2461/censorship-of-the-authority/
