SUICIDE SQUAD Cover Commission #5

The Original SUICIDE SQUAD, commission #5, drawn for Bill Cox. I love drawing these cover illustrations for Bill, and this one is a re-envisioning of the cover from AVENGERS #256 -- a beautiful cover that was drawn by John Buscema and Tom Palmer. I made this one my own though. This one was drawn in smudge pencils and in the more traditional comic book style that I enjoy drawing in. The smudge pencil technique is laborous work, but the results are always nice, I think. I hope you enjoy seeing this one here on CAF!
