Thanks, Kevin! I really loved the X-FILES television show. My wife and I watched it every week. I used to study the lighting on the show back then, and I learned a lot about lighting figures from just watching the series. Figure drawing classes at the Kubert School helped a lot too of course. :D

Thanks! The SUICIDE SQUAD commissions are some of the most fun commissions I've ever had the pleasure to work on, and Bill Cox is an incredibly nice fellow, so I love doing them. They're always exciting, yet challenging. Most of the time there's a giant monster and some kind of famous monument or location, and there is always the matter of figure scale to think about. Many of the monsters tend to be HUGE, so figuring out ways to keep the characters in the action, yet large enough in the composition is quite a hat trick. I have a third SUICIDE SQUAD cover commission for Bill in the works very soon. Can't wait to get at it!
Appreciate it, Don! I just wanted to give the client the Ben Grimm I grew up with--the ever lovin' blue-eyed Thing! I also enjoyed adding in the head shots of some of the characters prominent in Ben's life. It was a lot of fun.

Thanks, Kevin. This piece was a fun one to do. When it was all said and done, it was like looking at the screen of the RAMPAGE arcade game (for those who remember it). Heh. Mostly, I'm proud to have figured out a way to combine both requests into a double-splash image that could be enjoyed individually or as a whole. Dave and Nick--if you're out there, I hope you enjoyed your artworks.
Thats a very iconic page. Panel two alone is stellar, but every panel is great. Hard to beat this art combination. Brown and Giordano at their best!

Having them take on either Godzilla or King Kong would be pretty awesome, Bill! I'd also enjoy seeing the Squad take on Fin Fang Foom or the giant plant creature from Strange Tales #26: "It Crawls By Night!"
Thanks, Mark! The smudge rendering takes longer to do than the traditional comic book style pencilling, but I think the halftone effects are often worth all the extra effort. :)
