Marie Severin, San Diego 1996

      It was a great thrill to meet Marie Severin at SDCC in 1996. She was the colorist at EC and a contributor to Marvel Comics. I showed up at the designated Autograph Alley line along with many other fans. When con staff decided to move the signing to another area, Marie led the line like a marching band leader. I brought the Origins of Marvel Comics which includes Marie's art on a Dr Strange story: "The Fearful Finish--!" She drew a self-portrait with a nice inscription.
