Don Marquez Pellucidar

As a lifetime ERB fan, I'm always on the lookout for art focusing on his amazing worlds. Don Marquez has produced some wonderful inked Burroughs pieces. He is obviously a huge fan of the master of adventure. He seems to be able to tap into the exotic savagery of ERB's work. This Pellucidar piece tells a story in one illustration. Mahars, Sagoths, and the heroic couple trying to make a getaway. If need be, they will sell their lives at a high price. But to quote another Burroughs hero, "I still live." I have no doubt that they will prevail. Also, I love that wonderfully rendered rock face. A nice tip of the hat to Mr Frazetta, but Don makes the piece his own. Love his inkwork!
