I'm just gonna put this out there...

Tony Parker should be drawing every cover of every comic published every month.

I know that seems like a Herculean task, but an artist who can create the likes of what you see here is going to be up for that task. Okay, maybe not, but I'd pay cash money to watch him try.

Unfortunately, you can't see this artwork up close and in person. We collectors often say, "The scan doesn't do the art justice." That has never been more true than with this piece. Not only is Tony's linework spectacular and his inking sheer perfection, but I've never seen lighting effects as exquisitely rendered as the ones here. It looks great in this picture, but with the art in hand, it's nothing short of amazing.

The hallmark of the most effective Common Elements commissions is that when I look at them, I say to myself, "Man, I sure would love to read that comic." Looking at this dynamic scenario featuring Cyclops (a.k.a. Scott Summers) and James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes (a.k.a. the Winter Soldier), don't you want to read the story that finds them in the heat of this particular battle? Come on... you know you do.
