Pandora finished preliminary

One of his most memorable pieces...congratulations!

Fascinating to see this stage of the work -- to see the changes Barry made between this final prelim and the finished work (Pandora's dress and other details). It's also fascinating to see, before our eyes, Barry's approach shift from that of his Pre-Raphaelite influenced comics work to this even more Pre-Raphaelite style. This piece always reminded me of William Holman Hunt's "The Lady of Shalott", in composition. In these prelims we can see BWS grow as an artist.

Wow...double wow! Thanks for sharing this. A signed Pandora print hung on my wall throughout my late childhood/teen years.From the prelim it's clear that Barry had more in mind than an opportunity to show Cat Stevens' LPs on a shelf!

That's lovely, Bob.  Interesting to see how far Barry's styl advanced between Sketch and Finish.  Kudos!
