Description

Lovely, intricate pen and ink piece by Booth showcasing very diverse expressions for each character. Thin, fine line work on the foreground figure creates an ethereal glowing quality. In contrast, thick, dark line work shadows the looming background characters.

I would like to know more about the story the piece was created for. The reverse of the original indicates it was published May 1927, but I haven't been able to pinpoint the specific publication.

Another Booth masterwork! Many of the lines, appear to be multiple lines, adding thickness or depth. Just stunning.
