Description

(MK Company/Visual 80/Toho) Belle and Sebastian was a series produced for French and Japanese audiences from 1981-1982, then aired for American audiences on Nickelodeon starting in 1984. In Japan it was titled Meiken joli.

The show followed a young boy named Sebastian and his dog Belle (as well as a small puppy named Poochie) as they searched for Sebastian's long-lost mother in the French Alps.

This single cel (on a matching hand-painted background) features all three main characters.

Note: The band 'Belle and Sebastian' took their name from this TV show.
