Description

Dspite all the characters he has drawn, Jim Mooney may well be remembered for his work on two Icons, Spiderman and Supergirl. So when I saw someone else's commission by Jim with Supergirl in place of Superboy meeting the Legion of Super-heroes, I knew that was the direction I wanted to take. I had done so earlier with my Steve Rude, Avengers piece.
The question was what image or cover to redo?
Well I thought the early 70's, Ms. Marvel was an interesting chraacter and one Mr. Mooney was linked to for many issues while he was working at Marvel. So this reinterperation of the Action Issue that introduced Supergirl seemed a natural.

I've always admired this idea for a commission. I'm happy with mine, but this was just one great idea.
