Description

I believe it was the Monday the week of Mega Con that I realized Daniel Govar would be at the show. I've always loved the pieces I've seen from him, but this would be a very last minute request. I almost didn't reach out, but thanks to some encouragement from my friend Hector, I'm glad I did. Daniel had a spot open and was willing to fit me in. We discussed a few characters and narrowed it down to Phoenix and Archangel before I asked that he surprise me. This stunning piece was what waiting on me when I showed up at the show. My favorite part has to be the smokey lighting given off by Iron Man's gauntlets as they shine upwards towards Archangel. Just amazing use of watercolors!

Another great add to the IT collection! As you say, the lighting effect is killer, but so is the overall coloring. Love the pose, too. Congrats!

This is one of the best damn Archangel pieces ever! He looks unearthly and dangerous- like he's just noticed the viewer...
