Endpapers to Beautiful Darkness/Jolies Ténèbres by Kerascoet

I first saw the work of the husband and wife team of Kerascoet many years ago on a trip to France. Jolies Tenebres had just been released in France and it blew me away. I can't read French but I collect European comics just for the amazing art. I've wanted an original from these talented artists ever since that time.

In early 2016, Galerie 9e Art held an exhibition of their artwork. I was lucky enough to be able to get the original art that graces the inside covers of the book. The folks at Galerie 9e were great to work with on the transaction.

This art is quite large and not all of it can be seen in the book which is kind of fun to have more than I expected on the page. The dimensions are about 14x26 inches.

Almost all of Kerascoet's books are available now in English. They are definitely worth checking out.
