Definitely one of those underappreciated comics from way back when.
I still can't get over how great these pages are.
They are incredible. The simplicity and expression is so wonderful. Clearly a tip of the hat to Muñoz but still clearly McKean. I read at that early one he had to redraw pages a few times to distill the storytelling down and simplify. Especially when you think of how hatchy his other artwork was around this time like the Constantine issues.
