Description

I do not possess these original pieces. These pictures are from transparencies of the original art pages from D.C. Comics Korak Son of Tarzan #48. I have posted scans of all 6 pages of this beautiful work by Mike Kaluta from 1972. Kaluta was in his prime at this time and he really put forth his best effort on these stories. I don't know if the originals are out there somewhere, but these would be grail pieces for me.

These are beautiful pages, but I wouldn't say this was Michael's prime. The Shadow work was more accomplished and the series of Horror covers and even more so his Studio pieces followed by his long run doing Vertigo covers seems closer to prime period. Carson seemed an awesome prelude though and I love them too!
