Description

This work measures 7 inches x 8 inches. It is signed top right in pencil, along with the notation Thanksgiving Day October 13\/97, 3:55 p.m. The painting is completed with oil paints on gessoed, heavy, acid-free artist's paper. A quick pencil sketch on location is followed by bold, intuitive treatment with pigment. The painting was completed as I was sitting in my car. The work is ready for framing.

Artist's statement on the piece:
"I wander the hills just north of Lake Ontario. This piece is from a series of intimate, small landscapes that has been continuing for many years. "

BIO:
"I have been painting, showing, and selling for over 25 years and divide my time between painting and teaching. I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts, a Master of Fine Arts, and a Bachelor of Education."
