Newell, Eddy -- Dejah Thoris

Very nice...Eddy Newell has been doing amazing artwork for years, and it's always cool to see a new piece.

This guy is awesome. He was a pleasure to meet and talk with, at a convention in Niles, Oh. years ago. I got a Green Lantern pic from him as a gift 'cause i hung out with him for hours. Great guy and i hope he gets great work again soon. Black Lightning was great, Love to see him do a Black Goliath book (B.G. should be in the New Avengers, I think.) Eddy's originals are so good ya gotta see 'em to believe 'em. This pic is great, love the thick pencils and shading.

Good job as a drawing, but still a bit off from the theme - ERB described Dejah as having a youthful look - as a 18 year old human girl. As the Barsoomians age very slowly, she looked almost as yound when her daughter Tara was getting married... Newell's Dejah looks too old and not so uncomparable...
