Justice Society of America 29 page 1 splash by Jesus Merino

A fantastic opening splash of the whole modern JSA by Jesus Merino who I find was at his peak then as a penciller.

I wasn’t much of a JSA fan before the relaunch by Robinson & Goyer, followed by a great run by Geoff Johns and others, her Willigham and Sturges.

Here we have many of the great JSA members such as Power Girl, Green Lantern, , Terrific, Hourman, Dr Midnight, star girl and of course, Wildcat, my personal fave.

The black at the center of the page is particularly striking visually both to the characters and the reader.

This one had been sitting on my to buy list for a long time and it’s particularly satisfying to scratch that it. Both Miguel and me were surprised it went unpurchased for as long as it did.
