Starslayer #11 "Mortal Gods" title/credits page 1 by Timothy Truman. The 16-page backup story "Mortal Gods", broken into 2 chapters in Starslayer #10 and #11, composed the first appearance of John Gaunt, a.k.a. Grimjack, and was Timothy Truman's first professional work in comic books. He had previously made his mark working for TSR's Dungeons & Dragons. The Grimjack backup stories ran through issue #17, ending with Grimjack finally teaming up with Starslayer in issue #18. The following month, Grimjack got his own regular series.
