Description

Starslayer #11 "Mortal Gods" title/credits page 1 by Timothy Truman.

The 16-page backup story "Mortal Gods", broken into 2 chapters in Starslayer #10 and #11, composed the first appearance of John Gaunt, a.k.a. Grimjack, and was Timothy Truman's first professional work in comic books. He had previously made his mark working for TSR's Dungeons & Dragons. The Grimjack backup stories ran through issue #17, ending with Grimjack finally teaming up with Starslayer in issue #18. The following month, Grimjack got his own regular series.

Fantastic title page from the story that hooked our generation on John Gaunt. As good as it was it just got better and better. Extremely nice page from a much under-appreciated character and company.
