DescriptionOrigins (UK) #54 Hulk page (1980)Brief Description of the Item: Original art accompanied by a production stat version of the page. This Herb Trimpe art from the Marvel UK series Origins is loaded with images from Hulk's adventures in the Marvel Microverse. This piece includes images of Hulk being shrunk down by Psyklop, the Green Goliath with his beloved Jarella, and explosive battle scenes recounting the events of Incredible Hulk #140. Jarella and the Microverse were intended to be a one-shot adventure by Sci-Fi legend Harlan Ellison, but they were later heavily reused during the Bronze Age and beyond by other writers. Trimpe was the most prolific artist on the Hulk from the later 1960s throughout the Bronze Age and his originals on the the Hulk are widely collected. Finding a single piece from any period with numerous Trimpe Hulk images is tough, making this an appealing example. This art has an image area of approximately 10" x 15". Social/Sharing |
