DescriptionI almost never buy pieces by unidentified artists, but every once in awhile a piece so great comes around that I just can’t resist. This art certainly fits the bill. Amazing image from the early 20th century, this one has it all — great theme, well drawn, and a wonderful size (art is a whopping 3 feet long!). Clearly drawn by an experienced and well-taught artist whose identity is a mystery. The piece is signed only with a monogram - a crab holding an ink brush (photo attached). If anyone has a clue about who the artist is, please let me know! Special thanks to Zaddick L and Illustration House for finding this great piece, bringing it to market, and selling it to me!Social/Sharing |

I saw this when they posted it for sale and was very tempted by it. What a wonderful piece of illustration! It looks like it found the perfect home, congratulations!
