Description
Eagle Volume 11 Issue 22 Page 1
28 May 1960

In to the Bellamy era, and the new look Dan and space fleet uniforms.,. also seemed to start the era of Aliens that flew around in machines modelled off bits of old irons and light bulbs.

Titan checklist has this story as written by Eric Eden, and drawn by Frank Bellamy, Don Harley, and Gerry Palmer.
If I honestly had to choose, I would have said Dan was drawn by Keith Watson on panel 6, but not up to his return yet.

I am crediting the 2 artists other than Bellamy listed by Titan, as there are no signatures to say either way. The dots/speckles that Bellamy used are evident, but not sure if that is the other artists imitating. If anyone has a better idea,.. let me know and I'll correct the artist acknowledgment .

Nice page that's predominantly the work of Don Harley in my opinion. I'm not totally convinced of any Bellamy input here, even if panels 3 and 5 do give a hint of his style (though it's quite possible that Gerry Palmer may well have aped Bellamy's trademark stipple technique). Pity about the fading.

Thx Terry,.. kind of where I was thinking,... likely I'll revise the artist list down. Fading was actually not bad as I had expected,.. but still the result of someone hanging it in a frame without the right glass and light. But,.. for the right price these classic pieces are worth it if the details and inking are still good.
