| Q: | Which piece in your gallery is your favorite and why? |
| A: | Dan Dare - The Red Moon Mystery V2 E26 P1 It is my only piece signed by Frank Hampson,.. and I am a great fan of Dan dare and his art work. |
| Q: | Please tell us a little about yourself. |
| A: | New Zealander living in Australia.. I like to occasionally collect art from Eagle comic original run,.. particularly Dan Dare Also intersted in comic or annual art for kids and young adults,.. so my grand children have something to appreciate lately getting mad craze on pinball machines |
| Q: | How long have you been collecting comic art and what prompted you to start? |
| A: | Since about 2015,.. once I had completed collecting copies of all the original run of Eagle comic |
| Q: | How do you display/store your collection at home? |
| A: | Originals are stored in art folders, with acid free sleeves,.. and put away out of the light. All my art is scanned at min 600dpi,.. so I can print and display the pieces on my wall with reasonable resolution ... they look great and you can't tell the difference unless up close. |
| Q: | What are your top five most wanted original pages or commissions? |
| A: | 1) Dan Dare art by Frank Hampson,.. signed,.. any of them,... but I would desperately like the cover from Vol 9 Nbr 1 - Reign of the Robots - my one true Grail piece 2) Quentin Blake - any signed original from a published work - but something from the Uncle series, or Agaton Sax books is a dream 3) Frank Humphris - any signed Blackbow the Cheyenne or Riders of the Range art work 4) Frank Bellamy - any signed art work from the Fraser of Africa,.. or Heros the Spartan 5) Keith Watson - any signed Dan Dare piece, but especially from 1964 to 1965 |
