Finding a title page for one of the Atomic Age Cap (AKA the Cap Steve Englehart retconned into a right-wing psychopath) stories is way cool. Congrats!

I love the Cap of the 1950s storyline by Steve -- a true favorite but all the same, I like to this still is still heroic Cap -- either its Steve or his substitute before he goes nuts -- if only he'd had the Vita-Rays

If only he'd eaten '70's era kids' cereals. I think they had a full-day's worth of Vita-Rays in every spoonful!

Very cool to see this and then compare it to Jazzy Johnny's '60s Marvel work. Nice pick-up!

I'm in shock. You have won the internet for this week. An Atlas superhero splash (especially Cap) is one of the coolest things I've seen posted to CAF in a long while. Great large image of Cap, and of course being by Romita doesn't hurt.

Very cool page, did he use Jack Kirby as the model for the goon all the way on the right? It looks a lot like him!

I didn't know John Romita was drawing Cap in 1954 which makes this a surprise and a rather pleasant one. Thanks so much for sharing!
