Wow...that is a very striking piece. Zoomed in to pick up some more of the detail and it gets even more impressive. A beer may be in order to get more detail on this artist, this story...and how you got your wife into collecting art. Maybe we'll address those topics in reverse order...

Mortensen does some amazing work, both in concept and execution. You really have to see one in person to appreciate the level of detail on such a small scale. Great piece!
