Batman on Gargoyle commission painting by Weshoyot Alvitre

Here is a new commission I got from Weshoyot Alvitre, an indie artist I have known and followed for about 10 years. This is one of 4 commission I ordered last year following her on Patreon, so while it is newly done, it is one of my 2016 commissions. But we are always in constant contact and I knew going in that it would take a long time between everything she had going on, so I didn't mind waiting because she always makes it worth my while with the finished art. This was my final piece ordered through her so she went bigger and better on it than the others and I couldn't be more thrilled with it. I believe she will even do a small run of limited prints of this one as well, which I am always a supporter of. (I am not one who minds when my commission is used as a print or in a sketch book of the artist.)

As for the piece itself, this is on a thick 10x15 or so Crescent art board and done in pencil and ink wash painting. She was going for a Moebius/Miller DK vibe, which I really like. It came out really well and is one of my best pieces by her so far! I darkened the main scan a little as it looks a little lighter in my raw scan, so I included it in the additional images.
