Description

When I was growing up in the late 70's to early 80's, there were two comic book events that seemed earth shattering -- the death of Phoenix in X-Men #137 and the death of Elektra in Daredevil #181. Even though the character came back not long after, I never forgot the impact of that storyline.

In this powerful page, Matt Murdock digs up Elektra's body to confirm that she's really dead. That scene stuck with me long after reading the comic and I was thrilled to discover the page for sale at a convention in 1999 (thanks Albert).

While it's technically not the greatest DD page -- no costumes or action -- I really love how Miller and Janson were able to convey so much emotion here.

Sorry -- not for sale for the foreseeable future.

There are times when the page content doesn't call for heroes in costume. This is one of those. An absolute classic!

The absence of costumes or action doesn�t really matter here, this is one of the most stunning and dramatic page of the whole arc story. It�s incredible to think that this piece hasn�t been censored by the MCG in the early eighties... it still scare me! Thank you very much for sharing Ted!
