DescriptionWhat can I say about this collaboration by two of my all time antiheroes? Robert Crumb rendered this beauty in 1986.Bukowski was an author and poet I found in my early teens. On my first trip to Hollywood at 18 I found a book store called Red's Baroque Books I think. The owner had this print #64 signed by Charles Bukowski under a glass case.I bought it along with two hardcover books Women and Barfly signed by Bukowski.I hope to get hold of the original one day. " A man who can beat the horses can do anything he makes up his mind to do." ----___Charles Bukowski Published in July 86 by water row Press, Sudibury, Massachussetts in a limited edition of 300 numbered copies, the first 50 of which are signed by Bukowski and Crumb. Printed by john P. Lathourakis at Tabula Rasa Press, Morro Bay, California.Portrait of Bukowski copyright 1986 R. Crumb Social/Sharing |
