Description

"Monster Trading Cards" was a set published by Topps in 1965. In a brief stint with the company, Robert Crumb illustrated the fronts of the cards, while the backs were gags with monsters in mixed media.

A few short years after his work with Topps, Crumb went on to underground comics fame with the likes of Zap!, Fritz the Cat, Mr. Natural, etc.

This is the original painted front to Monster Trading Cards #33, signed by Robert Crumb.
