Description

The textbook definition of a complete shot in the dark paying huge dividends, and THE reason why I went to Fan Expo Dallas 2018 this weekend. Sent an e-mail to the great John Bolton out of the blue just to see if a commission was possible, and got a response from his wife, much to my surprise and happiness. And this is the result - a beautiful 11 x 14 pencil commission of Wonder Woman in the movie costume. I had the privilege and thrill of meeting both of them at the Fan Expo - truly wonderful people. He confirmed that this was the first time he had ever drawn Diana in this costume, and that it was a bit of a challenge, but what a result. I particularly like the inclusion of Themyscira in a lighter shade of pencil - he offered to darken it, but we both agreed that it would have taken away from Diana as the focus of the piece. Definitely one of the prize pieces of my art collection - my thanks and gratitude to the Bolton's for making this possible!
