DescriptionR. Crumb art created in 1967 is pretty much ground zero for me. Music and comics collided, often under the influence of the same mind expanding substances. This nice sized drawing was from one of Crumb's sketchbooks, and he often created political covers to fictional comics or magazines. This one is typical of the era; Police and hippies often clashed. Here Crumb is humorous and yet provocative. I'm pleased to own this.Social/Sharing |
