Colin Wilson
(b. 31/10/1949, New Zealand)
After his studies of fine arts in Christchurch, Colin Wilson worked in television, as a photographer and as an independent illustrator. He discovered comics through the Swiss magazine Graphis and he started his own fanzine, Strips. In 1980 he moved to London, where he made several pages for the series 'Judge Dredd' and 'Rogue Trooper' in 2000AD. He started the series 'Dans l'Ombre du Soleil' in 1983 in Circus. A year later, Jean-Michel Charlier and Jean Giraud asked him to take over the series 'La Jeunesse de Blueberry'. With François Corteggiani, he started the aviation series 'Thunderhawk' for the agency Strip Art Features. In 1997, Colin Wilson left Europe and headed for Australia, still continuing to work for 2000AD. In 1999, he published his first album with Casterman, 'Los Angeles'. For this same publisher, he began the series 'Headshot', together with French scriptwriter Matz.
