I love the page, but man, that last panel...!
Spectacular DPS! So many great characters and vehicles... I completely agree that Murphy's storytelling took a massive leap with this series --- he's my favorite working writer now and I didn't see it coming, much as I enjoyed his previous projects. In recent interviews, he attributes it to reading 10 books on writing movie scripts, but that's clearly not all there is to it.
It's a really nice page.When I saw it it, the thought that it was a page from a long-lost Batman/Hot Wheels Brave & Bold issue popped into my head.
