Description

A fantastic page from Phoenix Resurrection (initially called Phoenix Rising?) by Carlos Pacheco.

Though I’ve yet to read it, I found the art to be excellent in this issue.

Pacheco’s rendition of Magneto is among the best, both classic and modern (which could sum up his art basically). The half splash here is exceptional as he is super imposing and menacing, simply hovering here. A great choice in the down shot by Carlos as it intensifies the overall threat aspect of Magneto within the page and scene.

I also like the first panel with the X-Men casually walking. They really look like they are walking people.

You will notice that Warlock has been erased in the published version (see below).
