�� Mike Mayhew brought some X-Men Gold pages to sell at San Francisco Comic Con at the Oakland Convention Center. I flipped through the portfolio and found this page calling to me. A couple of pretty girls, an X-Men baseball game, the Central Park setting, the buildings in the backgrounds, and a touch of War of the Worlds all appealed to me despite not having kept up with the comic. After wandering the con for a bit, I came back and bought the page. I bought out my Zorro page for Mike's autograph and we had a nice talk about his days with Zorro writer Don McGregor.

�� The Oakland Convention Center was the home of WonderCon in the 1990's. The Golden State Warriors Practice Facility was built on top of the parking garage since those days. The con began Friday, June 8, 2018. In the evening, the Warriors defeated the Cavaliers in Cleveland to win the NBA championship.
