Description

John Constantine by John Paul Leon. The artwork is on an 11 x 17 board and apparently graces a large mural in DC's Burbank offices. I hope to see it one day.

John Paul Leon is an artist's artist and held in very high regard by his peers. His work on Earth X and Challengers of the Unknown is remarkable and should be checked out. Leon applies ink to paper in a manner that is simply extraordinary.

Here is what veteran comic book writer Steven Grant once said about JPL: "John Paul made our �90s version of CHALLENGERS OF THE UNKNOWN one of my favorite comics runs ever, and it�s a damn shame the book seems to have been apocryphaed by DC, because John Paul�s work on it, a truly strange and tasty intersection of Jack Kirby, Gene Colan and Alex Toth, is extraordinary and deserves to be reprinted. He�s on the very short list of artists I�d work with again in a heartbeat, no questions asked."
